Individual Counselling

Navigating the Impact of Trauma Through Evidence-Based Therapeutic Support

Individaul Counselling

In individual counselling, I provide one-on-one, personalised support tailored to your unique history, needs, and therapeutic goals. Each session is thoughtfully paced according to your readiness, with careful attention to emotional safety and psychological capacity.

My work is grounded in trauma-informed, evidence-based practice. Trauma can shape how we relate to ourselves and others, often emerging as patterns of avoidance, hypervigilance, self-criticism, relational conflict, anxiety, or emotional shutdown. Rather than viewing these responses as flaws, we understand them as adaptive survival strategies that once served a protective function.

In therapy, we work collaboratively to increase insight, strengthen emotional regulation, and gently process unresolved experiences where appropriate. The aim is to support integration rather than re-exposure, building resilience, restoring a sense of agency, and enhancing relational security.

I work with clients experiencing

  • Childhood or developmental trauma
  • Complex trauma (C-PTSD)
  • Emotional, physical, or sexual abuse
  • Relationship and attachment trauma
  • Betrayal and trust issues
  • Anxiety, hyper-vigilance, or emotional numbness
  • Shame, guilt, or low self-worth
  • Boundary challenges
  • Disconnection or difficulty feeling safe

Alongside deeper reflective work, I incorporate practical strategies that promote nervous system regulation, cognitive flexibility, and sustainable behavioural change. The focus is not only symptom relief, but long-term stability, self-trust, and meaningful growth within an accepting and non-judgmental therapeutic environment
